Paper's own poll of its online readership shows that they won't pay for the BBC. Hmmm, right-wing readership doesn't like the BBC which is, of course, considered to be left wing by those people. Funny that, eh? Whistle Rolling with laughter

1) The organiser of a local broadband upgrade scheme sending out an update to everyone without bcc-ing their e-mail addresses so I have received an avalanche of inane respond-to-all e-mails.

2) The same people above who, having been sent an e-mail saying "I shall assume your agreement unless otherwise advised" sent everyone e-mails saying "I agree".

Haha the old 'email storm' Laughing Have been known to take down whole exchange servers

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Email_storm

Also - for the broadband one there are possible GDPR implications if all have not given consent to share their email with everyone else in the group. I think.

FTFY

That counts as a data breach. Even the photography group I'm in have to hide email addresses and there's only about 30 of us and we're all mates !

Nearly killed a motorcyclist this evening.

Of course if he hadn't ignored the red light and come roaring out of a side road, with no lights on, I might have spotted him sooner and not had to do an emergency stop/swerve.

But I'm obviously in the minority as there were at least 7 similar motorcyclists and a quad rider. No lights, no numberplates.

And they then followed me down the road threatening to pass on both sides. Had to swerve off the road to be safe and called 999.

Unfortunately, being in SWMBO's car I didn't have hands-free otherwise I would have followed the cnuts whilst speaking to the call-centre so given the boys in blue a better chance of identifying these scrotes.

Tv audio/sound

Pretty sure this has come up before, but what is it with

1) the sound volume that goes up and down between programs and adverts, such that we have to turn the volume up to hear a program and then to stop being deafened when an ad, or the announcements come on have to turn it down, and

2) the voices in some programs being so muffled you can’t make out what is being said ( and quite often being drowned out by backing music)

And no, I don’t need hearing aids Razz Rolling Eyes

Seems more like a new continuity person is needed

Absolutly agree . I thought it was just me. Sound levels are all over the place

Autotrader and their stupid algorithms on their traffic light 'valuation'.

They crow that this is to show potential purchasers comparison between similar cars to help make a choice, etc.

They show their opinion on the price valuation with a 'rev counter' five colour scale running from dark green (lower price than average) to orange (higher price than average) and factors in age, mileage, spec', etc.

Too many time can see a couple of cars, fist car is shown as a good price and then the second car is one plate year newer than the other, the newer one has a lower mileage, they are exactly the same spec and they are both exactly the same price.

The first car is shown as a 'good' price, the latter is shown as 'above average' price....... Hmmmmm Rolling Eyes

It's well known that tv companies raise the volume during ad breaks so they "grab your attention", also it seems that sound levels during films are getting worse (my elderly parents are always complaining about this)...

I get round this by setting the volume to a reasonable level and then pressing "mute" during every ad break... problem solved Laughing
