so i have to change gear manually, you dont, but you have to manually apply park or the EPB, I dont - I like it Laughing

True but to do the equivalent of the quick abandon with the keys as described above you must put it in Park so it still can't go anywhere....

If left with the keys in then either manual or auto can roll away.... Embarassed Very Happy

Putting the EPB on when you come to a halt BEFORE you put the D3 in Park was a solution given to me by Gareth & LT on this website. I always used to get a cringe clunk when on a hill a moving from P to engage drive gear. Now I know why! The whole weight of the vehicle was on the parking pawl Embarassed

Since then no more clunk and can move away smooth without disengaging the park brake by using the clever auto disengage function. Thumbs Up
