Emergency brake
A bit of information gleaned from the instructor on a recent LR Experience course which I hope no one will ever need but it is handy to know about. Most of us are aware, that the EPB can be used in an emergency to bring the car to a halt if the driver is taken ill etc. Just flicking the switch is not sufficient, the switch must be pulled up and held up until the car has slowed enough.
He did offer to demonstrate on the drive back but we forgot so I cannot comment on what it feels like!

I believe UK law requires it to work on the move , although if service brakes are working it puts those on first. I asked about this during development and the need for the switch to be held is to be sure its a positive action rather than a passenger just flicking it for "fun"

We had a demonstration 6 up in a D4 at Gaydon at about 100mph and it was very impressive ....we had to swallow our internal organs after though

Was that before or after I asked "do you have crashes often?"?
It was fine from the front.
