my experience with Land Rover has been good and I have owned 5. Right now 2 D3's both have been reliable.
Discovery 3 2005 V8 current Cali Rover 78K
Discovery 3 2005 V8 current NYC Rover 107K
Discovery 2 1999 V8 sold at 205K (towed twice due to a starter, but from home also free tow)
Range Rover Classic 1991 V8 sold at 190K (only had to tow once do to a tire blow out, but free tow home)
Range Rover Classic 1988 V8 sold at 150K (the rust bucket, lots of issues, but never left me stranded)D3 2005 V8 SE Bonatti Grey "The Rhino" (our NYC D3)

But all your cars have been V8's with a one piece crankshaft, not the 2 piece as seen in some the diesels.
