I love my current black/grey thing I've got with my D4 but over the several land rovers I’ve owned my two favourite colours are both green. I’d never have chosen green if buying from new, but having found two great examples that were green, I think it really suited previous-era LRs and both got lots of positive comments.
My D2 was a quite rare Kent green (not mine but it wasn’t far off apart from the winch)
And my ‘Hippo’ was in the 50th anniversary green blue metallic flip which was awesome under streetlights
I also thought Tonga Green was a great colour on the D3D4 XS, gone, much loved, never forgotten

I'm a big fan of blues and greens. My first D1 was green (not sure which one), that was followed by Avalon Blue and then another green.
The D2A was Java Black, which wasn't my ideal colour, but was very nice when clean. And I LOVE the Bournville on the D4!
If buying new, I would tend towards a nice blue. Our Mazda 3 is Relex Blue, and that has the benefit of looking sharp while being ridiculously easy to keep looking clean, even when it really isn't.

King of the typo.
MY11 D4 5.0 V8, Bournville, lots of goodies!
Now departed: '85 RR Vogue, '94 D1, '95 D1, '70 SIIA, '97 D1, '04 D2a. All V8, except for the SIIA - but that drank as much petrol anyway!

I loved my Aintree green one and would have another in a heartbeat, definitely won't be having another black one that's for sure.

Although as somebody mentioned they do tend to show the dirt

LRs colour palette is terrible, 50 shades of Grey, a Red, dark Blue and a dark Green, The Velars palette is even worse. When I bought my Evoque the brightest colour was Colima Lime and that turned out to be a washed out green not as nice as in the brochure, I didn’t want Grey or Black, Red just didn’t do it for me and Mauritius Blue wasn’t available to order straight away, so white it was. That’s why I stumped up £1660 to get Namib Orange on the D5.
My favourite colour was Mauritius Blue, loved it on my Fl2, would’ve liked it on the Velar.
Like the colour! This post has reminded me just how much of a soft spot I have for the FL2. Dad had the I6 3.2, was a great car, should have bought it off him.
It's a shame most D3 V8's seem to be silver, not my favourite colour by a long stretch but it's a price worth paying for the engine.

Mine is a beautiful cairns blue one 8) The most beautiful blue for D3/D4 right after Bali Blue (D4 a few model years only) but one I’ve only seen in pictures, never in traffic up here even as a diesel. Buckingham blue comes third

I love my colour "Vienna Green ", but also most other "greens"..

For blue : I loved the older dark bleu. More recent its just a shade of black..
This is almost the best colour to my taste [ =XK8 !!!], a tiny bit lighter so it looks bleu on cloudy days too..

I agree with J77 : choice of colours is terrible. The designers must all be in a terrible depression to choose the dreary colours they now offer.
To pay zillions extra to get a half decent colour is obnoxious...
This is my new F-Type in ultra blue ; light bleu. But if you see it in the configurator it looks MUCH darker, more like velocity blue.
I just got lucky as the ceramic coating and waxing made the colour much deeper..

I used the images from the configurator to show the -lack of- difference between them in the configurator only.. ..in reality its an enormous difference..

@kajtzu. Thanks
But this colour has a "Jekyll & Hide" caracter.. It bright sun its so light it could be bleuish silver..
The first time I have seen it in the sun BEFORE ceramic and waxing :

Its MUCH more "light" or "faded" then the configurator lets you assume. And this colour is not
available anyware in a showroom in the Netherlands to "see-for-real"...

Had a 306 D Turbo company car in a dark blue back in the late 90s. Lovely dark metallic blue, kind of Oxford blue I guess.
I still think the 3 door 306 was one of the prettiest hatchbacks ever. Lovely little cars.Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

That would be China blue - I had a 306 GTI6 in that colour about 10 years back!
We had a FL2 in Martinique Blue. I really loved it and it was quite distinctive.
The only issue I had with our Evoque was visibility out of the rear window and I put that down to me being on the short side.
I think I still have a genuine Evoque boot mat in the garage if you are thinking of getting one.
