Rear brake noise
My osr brake seems to be making an odd noise. I changed the pads about 4 months ago, only done about 5k miles since. The disks are the originals so have 30k miles on them. All had been fine until last week.
The noise is very faint, a rotational rubbing/scraping type noise similar to what I would expect to hear if there were no life left in the pads and they were metal on metal, only much quieter.
I only hear it when braking and then only when braking very lightly at speeds below 25mph. When I hear it, if I brake harder it goes away and always stops immediately if I stop braking. It doesn't do it in reverse. The wheel isn't getting hot, fuel consumption seems the same.
I haven't got round to taking the wheel off to have a look yet, a quick visual check shows the outside pad looks exactly as I would expect: unworn. Obviously I can't see the inside pad. The disk looks in good condition.
It's been doing it for about a week and a half, not getting any worse over time. I'm fairly sure it stopped doing it for a day or so after I washed the car
My first reaction was sticking caliper, but the symptoms don't seem to quite fit. Can dirt or some other object get stuck between a pad and the disk?
Wheel off at the weekend to take a look, just wondered what others thoughts were on the potential cause?

Perhaps the metal strips that the pads sit on to stop vibration have moved or been damaged and are touching the disc, My bro's just had a rav 4 in with noisy brakes and that was the issue with that.Jaguar I-Pace HSE imminent.
