Parking brake sticking again |
|
Hi all i have recently had the epb module replaced with a genuine one and while at it, had all the rotors, pads and parking brake shoes replaced too.
Problem started when around Christmas time when I was feeling a vibration while driving at 50+ miles and it turned out to be rear left parking brake was rubbing against the rotor. (Had to manually pull that cord from the cabin)
Picked up the car and all OK for abt 100 miles, actuator works quietly etc but same problem occured today. Rear left parking brake is sticking causing vibration again and obviously rotor is very hot again. Same drill, pulled the cord manually etc.
Question is, are we missing something while adjusting the parking shoes, anyone had this issue before? My only suspucion is that maybe garage has not done the bedding properly but is it a coincidence that rear left is the rubbing again?? 2005 D3 V8 SE

I has not been adjusted properly, or there is another fault.
As you have had everything replaced, take it back and ask them to rectify it.
