Safest disco 4 year to buy
hi all, I know it’s a hard question. But.....
looking to spend 20k and replace my wife’s xc60. So looking for a 2012 ish disco 4 HSE with as low miles as poss. I have heard worries over engines and seen first hand the bills. Is there a better year to be safe?

MY13 is arguably the best of the bunch.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948
Robbie has one...and, by the way, Baltic Blue is the best colour. Am I Gammon or Woke ? - I neither know nor care.

new as you can and a warranty direct warranty at least for the engine (core package). Excessively low miles can be as bad as overly highJoined the BMWX5 45e group

All engines are the same, and nearly everything else, so I would say as lower mileage EU6 as possible.
That will mean you can drive it where you like for as long as possible

I would go with Robbie, 2013 seems good. No adblue so probably a bit more expensive to tax, but no issues either. No heating issues, no silly DRL’s which I personally hate, no stop start to annoy you,
I have one!

Thank you, what is the reason? Did they change the engine spec?
The MY13 was a slight improvement over the MY12 and the MY12 was quite a change from the previous years. The goodness of MY13 was lost in the pursuit of lower emissions from MY14 onwards.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

That’s a really beautiful blue color seems slightly darker than cairns on D3 but if I was in the market for a nice D4 V8SC V6 this lovely shade of blue would be at the very top of the list along with Bali on a V8.

I wouldn’t spend very much money on a diesel vehicle that wasn’t EU6. For resale reasons, even if it didn’t directly impact on your use.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE
