| Missing Engine Check Light |

My 2005 D3 failed its french MoT this week - both fog lights cracked and misted up but working and beam aim unaffected.- replacement ordered
Secondly no MIL orange engine light on position II
I had upgraded the software last week using the IID Tool (MY07+ for a pre MY07 vehicle) - when I checked I/O vaules I could toggle the MIL light on/off ok so bulb was working
In CCF - no option to change MIL status at all to enabled/disabled not listed
Downgraded the software back to pre MY07 and now the MIL light is working in ignition position II and goes out when I start the car
The engine is the 4.4 V8

the other strange effect of the upgrade was to give me a low collant warning light even though the coolant was at the correct level
downgrading the software back to pre MY07+ also cleared that one MY05 Discovery 3 G4 LRG4C-14 Stage 3 & 4 Bolivia Team Fleet 49

I didnt think the 2005 model used the mil light just a message on the dash

Its a V8 engine that does not have a FBH, so that might be confusing it with software for a 2.7 engine.

The 2005 and 2007 V8 dash has the MIL light in a different position.
It will now light the orange Park Brake light instead.
Ask me how I know.
PS I need to return to the 2005 software now can I just reprogram ov er the 2007 software? Series 1 V8
