Connector identification
Hi
Wondering if u would be so kind to help plse
A gent is having issues with his D4 , has stop start , does anyone know what this connector is plse
I’ve been searching for ages but can’t find it
He removed his dashboard to replace the passenger airbag , has all the lights but no ign lights and won’t start , was fine before and wondering if this connector needs to go somewhere or for an accessory
Does the battery in the boot control the ign lights etc plse and main battery everything else
Thks so much as always

Thks a million for that
Alas the guy has said he’s already plugged his stop start button in with another connector
I’ve also asked him if he’s made sure the stop start battery is fully charged and reconnected because he said everything works apart from ign light and button doesn’t work
Bet it’s something really daft

That’s what I was also thinking , he said the one he plugged in had 3 wires and this one having 4 x wires
Have asked him to ensure both batteries are fully charged and re connected
With him basically saying , All the other electrics are working lights, seats moving, steering moving, screen comes up and radio etc but no ignition lights.
Thks a million as always

Sorry I've made a big boo boo on this.
Checking the photos again and checking the colours I've mistaken yellow for white
It's the connector for the interior temperature/humidity sensor.06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

No worries at all
Bless u for letting me know
U still deserve a large beer for helping me with it
Assume then that will stop the ign light showing with it being left unplugged and breaking the circuit so to speak
Thks as always

However the engine start button should be a black connector, 4 pin connector with 4 wires.06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

Ask him he’s reconnected the manual keyed Air bag switch on the side of the passenger dash.
I’ll check the diagrams later.
Cancel that, just seen it’s on the driver side so not switch. I’m just looking at some photos I took of famousfives dash when we took it out.

Oh wow that looks fun, many thks for the pic , I can’t quite see clear enough I’m afraid
Am waiting for him to come back to me
Was a gent on another forum and hands up I was trying to help him but he hasn’t come back to me yet
That loom reminds me when I had to replace a heater matrix on my old freelander , was a royal pain but saved a small fortune for just a £60 part doing the work myself
