Hi paul
Many thks, alas can’t find that separate, but think by the looks of it a plinth is bolted on first then the number plate
Have a plinth on my original front bumper so maybe that will fit the A bar
Thks again

Personally I think that would spoil your car. It currently looks modern with that nice grill.
And yes they do obstruct working on the rear of the engine, and re belt etc.
Hi Gary, he's right you know!
Your car looks great now so why put that cheap scrap on it? Refurb it and flog it for much more than you paid for it. yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

While I do like the look of the A bar I agree with Pete and the Prof, the front of your car looks good already, (maybe de-tango the lights) so why hide all that hard work? And we all know you’ll be under the bonnet very shortly to make yet more additions
I’m making up some new brackets for my lightbar so will have a few bits spare if you need anything to mount spots or your light bar, I also have some extra aluminium adaptor plates for mounting led fog/drl to the bumper that I’m going to list on the forum very shortly so you can have first dibs if of interest?
Will drop you a note on your email soon I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

I’m getting a complex here,
Yes plse ref the brackets of putting dibs if I may on what ever u don’t use , who me under the bonnet again, never
Got to finish a few things off for the oil pressure gauge kit first , I normally get a few bits each month
Looking forward seeing some piccies of the lightbar fitted , also seen some mounted on a roof bracket, imagine would get a lot of glare , plus prefer them mounted by the bumper
Thks mate ref email, I assumed u was busy , also good seeing other mods being done
Keeps us busy

It is a tough call. When I was looking I originally wanted a black car without an A bar and planned to swap the lights etc to make it look like a D4. However, I fell in love with it as it is. I think your plan is best, get it fixed up, see what it looks like and make a decision then. That way you can sell it if you decide its not for you. Hiya
Indeed and many thks, going to spend time fixing it up , like many of us a big fuss pot and my own worst enemy as I like things done just so, the amount of times I’ve done something to then start again because I’ve not been happy , when I done my suspension rebuild I even took the cable ties off because they wernt the same way round, yeh i know
So that I’m hoping it will add some more strength for when I stick that piece back out of the A bar
As a side note have got fed up with all the little parts everywhere so bought some used part bins and stick on labels as I can then at least start trying to get bits put away as drives me nuts when i can’t find things
Amazing how connectors etc etc that u pick up over the years
Ur right , I really enjoy doing projects like this and doesn’t really matter if it takes me weeks on end to do it
Do like the look of the detangoed lights but haven’t been brave enough to do it , hoping that I’ll eventually be able to get some xenons for the front and some D4 rear lights
Just can’t wait till I’m fit enough to get started again
Many Thks as always

Hi
just found a company in Poland that may have these lower brackets to mount onto the impact bar , will of course update the thread if there correct
Reported to be genuine parts , in Poland £33.00 , uk price £103.00 , surely can’t be the same materials with that massive price difference , but waiting confirmation
Once I know and if correct will share link so it helps others
