Gear change issues on D3

Hi I’m new to the site so please forgive me if this has already been covered.
I have a disco 3 that has developed a problem with the gearbox.
Changing gear from 1st to 2nd is only possible at approximately 4000 rpm but this doesn’t happen all the time.

Hi Paul, you say it’s an intermittent fault is it when it’s warm(upto temp) or when’s she’s cold.

I’m not sure if you have had an IID check on it, if not I suggest it’s the best thing to try.

Only fault coming up was speed control multifunction circuit input a is stuck.
This is to do with the cruise control I believe.

Do any of the other steering controls work. Maybe a faulty squib.
This is a funny one

Hiya

Wonder if it’s a faulty steering wheel loom or rotary connector seeing the cruise isn’t working

Also have u checked ur TCM module behind the battery

Always the way with these annoying faults that are intermittent in trying to pin them down, indeed diagnostics / multimeter will at least assist u

May i ask please was the fault there before u had the leaking gearbox connector fixed , or did it only happen after , thks

Fingers crossed is a simple fix Thumbs Up
