2012 car due its 9th annual service shortly - anyone able to share info on likely costs?, there was a suggestion from the main dealer that it needed a gearbox oil change at the same time. Is there a service schedule list available?
Also, with the camshaft issues on the TDV6, I'm tempted to keep the extended warranty running - it is available up to 10yo so this would be last year - anyone had a costing for the extended warranty recently?
Thanks

There is a service worksheet in the Wiki section of the forum:

Thanks - yes it looks as if the transmission oil & filter needs replacing at the 9yo point - main dealer gave 2 costs, 1 of which was £620 extra for carrying out the gearbox oil change!! Can't see how it can be that expensive unless it involves removing the gearbox!!

9th year is actually a big service. You're looking at £1000-£1200 from a main dealer MY16 Landmark - Yulong White
MY10 HSE - Stornoway Grey

Yes - it seems to be the transmission oil cost that makes it a bigger service; I wonder if it would have had to be replaced at the same time as the new transfer box was installed just 4,000 miles ago?!

New gearbox sump/filter? which I assume is a not a straight forward job, and some expensive oil.

Yes, just found a post on the D3 forum and certainly for the D3 it seems a complex job to get at the gearbox sump/filter, so that explains the cost!!

I replaced the sump on my D3 and RRS with the metal ZF sump and it was actually very easy.
I did in myself, and had no issues.
I should point out that I am an IT tech and not a mechanic!!
