You can make them up yourself just works out a little more expensive unless you have access to some old welding cable. A few guys are heading to the jump battery pack solution instead like this type

As for split charging, plenty of opinions and advice on here about that, use the search. A lot like the tmax system, personally I went for a cheaper durite type 2008 HSE Stornoway Grey
