Hello Everyone, bought a LR3 2005 with only 1 key, I need someone to help me to program a second key, any suggestion in the Cambridgeshire area?
Read that Autel Maxi Ap200 as key programming function, anyone tried?

+1 for Autel.
Very straight forward with on-screen instructions.
Honestly takes less than a minute. (After you have registered your Autel))
which model are we talking about it? as made few enquiries and it seems not longer able to programme IMMO key for LR3
I have looked on ebay Autel MaxiAP 200M and Autel AP200 white but been told neither able to do so
Is it true? Just confused becasue don't want to buy the wrong one. I guess the best otion still IID BT Tool at £399

The AP200 programmes keys, not sure about the other one.

The original white version definitely does despite the description.
I suspect that it may not work with cars from other manufacturers or even some from Landrover but no problems with the D3.
I did mine a month ago and there are recent posts from others.
200M may not program keys but I would avoid it anyway because it requires an annual fee payment.
White version has free lifetime subscription and I suspect may have better ABS. facilities.
£44 worth try as Timpson charges £155 for a non original key re-programmed

That’s the one, but don’t worry, it’s really good on the diagnostics side as well, so you will definitely earn its keep, you own a land rover after all 2008 HSE Stornoway Grey

Just to give an update just got t Autel Ap200 and key programming works perfectly.
Also done diagnostics and found few issue:
Exhaust gas circulation sensor C circuit low
Body control module low frequency coil and unused relay drive
Anyone now if these are urgent matters ( I Will do a Google search later on)
Anyway thanks for the tip of buying the Autel !!

Good to see Proby46, sounds like youve already saved the cost of the Autel 2008 HSE Stornoway Grey

If interrogated the Autel will admit that these faults do not actually exist, as these parts are not fitted to the D3, so rest easy.

Any recent Autel buyer?
Hi there, I found (and digested!) this post because I’m trying to make a reasonable choice in purchasing a diagnostic tool for my D3 MY2006 TDV6 SE.
I was initially thinking of icarsoft but realiste autel ap200 can be a more cost-effective option.
I just don’t understand if it allows key programming. You all say it works perfectly but the website writes in bold caps it dose not.
May it be they gave up this option recently? I just checked their website but see last post here is from 2021!
Any recent buyer around who can share experiences?
Many thanks

For a long time the website said No, but users found it would do keys.
Since then the tool has been rebadged or updated.
So you will just have to find out yourself if the white one still does keys.
It’s still the best value one out there.
The older icarsoft 930 was rather a dumb, read only tool. I can’t speak about the v2 or know which one you are considering. But it doesn’t appear to do keys.
Where as white autel can calibrate suspension and ppl have programmed keys with it.
It can be a slow device at times. But it’s good value.
