Beware. If your luggage cases are bigger than aircraft cabin size you will need separate (half rate) tickets for them on the Prague metro.
Gestapo type inspectors, paid on commission, watch for tourists, particularly at interchange stations like Museum, and detain them until cash fines are paid.
Reduced price ticket offers for older people are only valid when in possession of a registration card. A passport showing age is no good.
Travel cards are cheap and cover the funicular.

And lovley scoff it was too, well and truly stuffed. And with beers and cider, all in less than the price of a single course in many places in the earlier parts of trip.
Goulash soup for MrsDSL, 3 different sausages for me with lovely mustard and horseradish cream. The latter was like squirty cream with a bit of HR slashed through it, most weird.

And mains, fried cheese for SWMBO and roast pork knuckle for me. All with lashings and lashings of lovely buttery mashed spuds.

And beer at less than 30p a bottle in the supermarket where we stocked up on essentials (milk, yoghurt and choc chop cookies). Resisted the lure of the beer!

SWMBO has just found scales in the bathroom, somehow I think it’s not going to be pretty tomorrow morning numbers-wise!

No map, though some countries are larger!! Still disappointed that they’re not flying a flag as we are in residence. And I hope the scales are wrong.
Pics from today, touristy day seeing the castle and walking the mean streets with what seems like millions of peeps. Here in Prague Da Bug is a very dim and distant memory, deffo life back to normal.

Last night in Prague and I don’t think it will be a quiet one. Switzerland is here, seems like most of them, playing the local beer consumers, ie national team, in the Nations Cup. Never heard of it but we have now!
It’s shade under 2 hours to go and the local riot police were gearing up as we hit the hotel area on the way back from scoff. Penny dropped when I spotted one of the burly riot police putting on full body armour was sporting Swiss police insignia.

And re scoff. Went back to the Kantyna restaurant for a final feed. It’s a bit of a veggie’s nightmare but really good food that you buy by weight.
