Thinking of selling: Pre-Production D3 v8 |

I have chassis number 264
Dunsford collection have 271 & a unnumbered prototype - so I slot right in between
The car will be 20 years old next year, and likely hit100k miles
Its an odd Pre-prod, being v8 HSE + LHD
It was exported from the UK in 2015 and is semi retired on a spanish island
If this was any other LR I would keep it till it died
But being the 2nd oldest known in the world makes me want it to be preserved
We had a baby recently and I can't go as wild as I wanted/used to

If I dont sell:
I will keep till the engine gives me trouble, then put into storage, and convert to EV in 5 years
If I do sell:
I'd pick up another D3/D4 locally
But how much should I sell it for?
p.s. can anyone help digging up the LR history? I have UK reg but no build spec history stuffs... why is this LHD? where did it live? Why is it HSE but without sunroof? Pre-Production

Doesn’t answer any of your questions BUT I also have a LHD HSE without sunroof.
Remember, not every country had the same set of features within a certain category of trim. This one is originally manufactured for/exported to The Netherlands and then imported to Finland by the distributor for resale.
With 100k miles the engine shouldn’t give you any trouble

Yeah the sunroof thing was interesting
Its like it was built as pre-production but destined to live outside of UK Pre-Production

The test cars are tested all over the world, climates, altitudes etc. so makes sense to have LHD.
