Hi all, i have just fitted Osram Nightbreakers to my headlights last night, not tried yet as a nice bottle of red beckond
i am looking to upgrade my spotlight bulbs as well they are the L/R ones is there any recomendations,i think the bulbs that are in will be 55w. could i go up to 100w in each without any problems like melting the lamps or damaging the wiring. The have been fitted at the dealer and have the switch on the dash.
Many thanks Its not the height of the fall but the sudden stop at the bottom that hurts!!

No amount of wattage will improve a poor reflector design...... I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

I remember reading another thread in which a member wrote exactly that his spotlamps melted with the 100W bulbs....
You want to double-test it for us? Some people get by

You are right as i also remember someone reporting that it melted their spots, in particular the reflector. I replaced my spot bulbs with the Osram nightbreakers and they were a little brighter but not that i would notice as i have the HSE with the posh lights. Well bright. I had 110w bulbs in mine (until I replace them with LF240s last week). The reflectors never melted, but I was careful never to have them turned on when I wasn't moving.
They're just as rubbish with 110w bulbs in as they are with 55w bulbs. Get some LFs.
