My set has turned up today.
They certainly look well made.
Will not be fitting them yet as I am trying to get my D3 "exchanged" through the dealer Confused

Hopefully not a daft question.

If either of the little Coffeecups decide to pull the shade off, and then accidentally stand on it (as kids do), can individual screen replacements be purchased?

The shades are sold in sets but im sure if I spoke to the production manager nicely he would fit some spare shades on a production run no problems.

Though hopefully the shades would only require a quick wash if the kids stood on them as the material is rather strong.

Thanks

Can you open the windows with these things in situ, or do they blow out?

You can still open the windows, even at speed the way the clips are designed the shades will stay put.

Thanks

Hi All,

Im new to DISCO3 and joined after reading some very nice things people have posted about the Disco sunshades my company makes. I work for a company called O E Sunshades and have sold some Discovery 3 sets to some of the users of this forum and have had very possitive feedback, I just wondered if you could spend five minutes looking at our site and let me know what you think. Feedback about tinting quality , fitting , the look and the price would be great.

Or if you have bought a set could you please let me know how your getting on.

Many thanks for all your time

Fitted youre sunshades today John, very nice indeed and what a great fit

Take note Disco3 members these are well worth the cost when you think one of Halfords nasties is a £10er.

Once again John @ O E Sunshades I Thank you Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Very interested in purchasing, but the web site talks about 6 blinds. ( 3each side)

Do you get the rear window blind too,

Await your reply as product looks great, and will save a lot of time and money on a full tint job !!

Thanks

If you look carefully at the tailgate window, you'll notice a vertical joint line as there are 2 blinds for the tailgate. A bit annoying but I suspect that to do one in that shape over such a large area, the fabric may not sit cleanly.

The blinds are only from the B pillar back. Not legal on front side windows.

As they say it's 6 pieces, ie: 1 each for both back doors, rear side windows and 2 to fit the rear tailgate. They are tailored to exactly fill the window space so as you see from the outside look good. The fabric is soft and perforated, they do not roll up but are stretched across a quite rigid frame. There are clips that self-adhere to the rear doors and rear tailgate, the shades on the rear windows stay in place themselves. They are very easily removed. I have them to obscure the camera kit I carry daily.

At £70 on ebay I'd say they are worth it compared to £400+ for a tint job.

Spain 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 HSE Auto Tonga GreenDiscovery 3

Since I did not order the privacy glass for my new D3, I went ahead and ordered the shades. I placed the order through e-bay, mentioned my membership to this site, and paid in full on the spot (shipping charges to Spain included).

Three weeks after the purchase I contacted the seller (Mr. Taylor) for a heads up on the shipping status of my order. He responded that they had ran out of shades but that I would receive mine in a matter of days. He then offered a refund, but I accepted to wait (not really in a hurry), and assumed I would definitely receive my order of what seems to be a very popular quality item....

A month since that promise has gone by and nothing--no shades and no updates from Mr. Taylor. I sent him another message today. I checked his feedback on e-bay and found four negative feedback posts from people alleging not having received their shades.

I am still not in a hurry, as my D3 will not be in until next month, but irritation is begining to set in.

Any of you with the same problem Question

I have been in touch with Jonathon directly and I know several others have too. Whilst the product looks good I can't say I have any confidence in recent customer service (availability of product, delivery, communications and multiple eBay accounts).

For forum members to make their own minds up, OE Sunshades are available through 3 separate eBay id's - all alledgedly from the same source (they use the same pictures)

johnathon1387 VERY NEGATIVE FEEDBACK
sunshadesonline NEW ID ZERO FEEDBACK
hollin4376 RECENT NEUTRAL FEEDBACK

I know Jonathon is a member on this site, so here is an opportunity to set the record straight.
