Baggy front seat cushion material
Any body got the same fault that i had last time i took my car to the dealer i said can you do anything with the two front seat covers they have gone all baggy.
The dealer said that a fault with the disco 3 front seats
Not happy with that i paid for a years use of the land rover GTR web site for £300.
I looked at the TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETINS. and there is a bulletin for front buggy seat covers
which reads if customers express concerns then change the cover under BULLETIN number
NO.LA501-03102 OCTOBER 06
i would say if you have got the same fault as me get your seat done under warranty
THE VIN RANGE IS vin5A300167

If the dealer admitted that there was a fault with the seat bases, then why did you have to pay 300 quid to confirm it?
If they knew there was a fault, they should have just looked up the TSB themselves and fixed it...
Or am I missing something? Did they say that there's were NO faults with the D3 seats? 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE AutoBuckingham Blue 2007 Golf GT DSG

had this on my drivers seat, material was bulging upwards, turned out to be the heated seat element had become loose, dealer finally ordered a new seat cover and repaired under warranty, but only after customer services got involved

When I picked up mine from the Dealer's (Taunton LR), I mentioned that the passenger seat material was creased and loose. Took it back some weeks later and they replaced both front seat bases under warranty in line with the TSB. So AFAIK there is a known and accepted problem.

I had my drivers seat squab done under warranty as well for the same saggy reason.

Got new front seat bases for the same reason but boy are they uncomfortable. Side bolsters are rock hard. Anyone else got this? Thinking of either buying a new seat pad myself or trying some memory foam under a seat cover.

Mine has only done 5,000 miles from new and I noticed only today that the drivers seat is already going the same way.

Useful stuff this. Had my D3 06 for just over two weeks now and both my front seats are baggy. Hadn't really thought anything about it until I read this. Call to Farnells on the agenda for tomorrow I reckon. They can try and sort my radio seizure while they're at it with the seats!I don't want to belong to any club that would have me as a member...........

Hi, this happened to my car 06 disco, and dealer changed both front seats no problem at all All on warranty!Steve
Called in at Stratstone,Cupar, last week to complain about the state of the drivers sear cover,(28000m).The passenger seat is just starting to go the same way.Brought the car up on their screen, didnt even go out for a look at it,"Not a problem Sir,when would you like them replaced?"
Need to drop them an email now to tell them that the outside temp module thingy is acting up and see if they can do them both at the same time as the warranty clock is rapidly approaching full time!2007 TDV6 XS Auto.
