5 Seater Question
Hi there
with the 5 seater, do the rear seats fold completely flat?
All the Discoverys I see in pictures or at the dealer are 7 seaters and their seats do fold flat. But the 5 seater?
Thanks for information....

Hello jolly jumper and welcome. I think they fold flat as there is no reason not too. However many of us have yet to see a 5 seater as it is a bit rare. There are a couple of guys on site with them and one is a commercial adaptation, so from his, I am sure they will fold flat.

Based on the above thread am I correct in thinking that the seats fold differently in the 5 seater to the way they do in the 7 seater.
Getting close to order time and I am still not sure what to go for seat wise, if I choose the base over the SE, as I don’t need the 7 seats.
The best price I have found so far for a SE diesel/manual is £34k for a grey import with full UK SE Spec. Anyone found any better?Discovery 3 XS Auto, Stornaway, Active rear diff.

Yes they do. The others fold the backsupport forward onto the squab and the whole seat then lowers to the floor level. The 5 seater is like most other cars with the seat squab lifting forward against the front seats and the back rest folding to the floor.

Sorry about a little late reply, but found this exellent forum just last night. I ordered my first LR ( disco3 ) 2 days ago. I did a lot of research before ordering my disco3 ( I have a Toyota Land Cruiser now ). I ordered a SE 5 seat version, but I don´t like the way 2nd row seat folds in 5 seat version. So I called to the Finnish LR importer and they told me that if I order the comfort package ( 017AE ) which includes ( at least here in Finland ) 30/30/35 folding 2nd row seats, makeup mirrors with lights, cargo net, 3rd mug holder in front, for 680€.
That way You have a 5 seat version with 2nd row seats folding like 7 seat version.
