Cancelling 'follow me home' lights

discovered purely by accident today Very Happy ...
turn the key fully off, so the lights come back on, then turn the key back to the first detent, then off again and take out the key... 'follow me home' cancelled ! great for those supermarket car-park "you've left your lights on mate...." moments Evil or Very Mad

or if your LR button is still in default mode... just give it a press when your told your lights are on and amaze them as they go off by remote Wink

True, but i'd just end up opening the tailgate and looking a prat running back to shut it before the dog / kids escape Rolling Eyes

England 

I use the cancel as outlined in the manual. Turn the lights off before the ignition or having turned the ignition off and activated the follow me just turn the light switch on and off – voilà cancelled.
 D3 gone for now

yep, it works but it's a bit of a faff to muck about with two switches when it can be done with one Wink TorqTune
