What a difference a day makes. My daughter went on a sleepover at her friends. This morning the father of said friend drives her back. He sees my new D3 & gets out to look it over saying that he's interested in getting one. I point out to him the marks on the car & he says I got just the stuff for that so off he goes & 30mins later he's back with these 3 bottles of Meguiars 3 step something or the other, sorry I can't remember exactly.
One of the bottles is a paint cleaner which he put a small bit onto an applicator sponge & gave the three areas a scrub. After a few minutes it was wiped off & low & behold the marks had gone. Anyway he puts some polish (2nd step) & finally a bit of wax to finish it off. Needless to say I was well impressed & off we went down to the pub for some well earned lubrication.
Anyway here's the after pictures.
He also recommended a detailer guy near me to give the car some much needed TLC.

Drive thru foam washes use a caustic biased foam to effectively loosen the dirt that is jetted off. It only takes once thru these to break down and remove the protection, not totally but in patches. You can tell after it's been raining if the water is beading or spreadover the surface.
You will get more protection from a £30 tub of paste wax than the £300 super protection offers from the stealers.
If I do a new car I ask if it's been treated then demonstrate how well it is....or not Then let the results of a good clean and protection from a detail speak for themselves. Not what it was....tbh can't be ar$ed with nonsense anymore
