Hello everyone.
Registered this morning after reading posts all nite! What a fantastic site. I became a D3 owner earlier this week and this site is proving to be an invaluable information source already. Now I just have to default alarm to horns and disable the seatbelt audible alarm before I dash out to test the wading abilities, as the local roads are a little flooded this morning, on route to collect my rubber mats and ipod connect kit.

Um, welcome, but maybe use the seatbelt rather than disable the gongs? Has worked rather well for me in the past... <*(((<<

Welcome
Alarm : disconnect the alarm which is fitted in the spare battery box. this will default to horn
Seatbelt : fasten and unfasten the about 10 times and the bong goes away.
I may organise a day out around marlborough between xmas and new year if you are interested. Duncan

I have now covered these two mods, the alarm was harder to achieve as the connector was hard to remove but what a difference! I could not believe the feeble siren of the alarm, much improved now by defaulting to horn.
Thanks for the laneing invitation Discodunc, I tend to use my Defender for the muddy fun as it has 35" MT tyres, roll cage and Winch but am always keen to meet up with other 4x4s for a few byways around Wiltshire. Unfortunately we plan to go to Scotland for new year (D3s 1st decent road trip) but would be up for some sessions in the new year.
the kergan - Wiltshire has a good network of byways that are not all under seasonal TROs. Contact Wilts CC Rights of Way Office and they can confirm any current and seasonal closures for you, I have always found them very helpfull and obliging.
Thanks all for the welcome. GR!Z The Pixalated Pirate
