HI S
I didnt have them. You can tell when you open the bonnet and on the pass. side you'll see the tube near the hinge bringing the water to the washers. You can see from that if the bigger tube has a smaller wire running alongside it under the black tape - if its there I think you can be sure the heater washers are installed. Failing that you could take off the bonnet liner and have a peak underneath, bit bothersome tho.
I ordered the two nozles off TLO and then went to a scrap yard and got them to take out the required loom from a D3 that had been stripped down and retro fitted them when I got home. Cold snap not long after so worked a treat. Antifreeze in the washer bottle still required All in cost about £20. Simple but handy mod A happy childhood ... is the worst possible preparation for life.

Thanks for reminding me of the next thing on my list I needed to ask about
I'm pretty damn sure my washers are heated - I replaced the nozzles a couple of weeks back at LR and obviously realised the extra wiring was the heating elements.
BUT.... the damn things don't seem to be thawing out at all. Get this - called up Aberdeen LR and the girl on the service desk went and asked upon my query on how they worked Her answer was that they were permanently on but would only raise the temp 0.5 deg C above the norm. What friggin use would that be if it's -5 deg C outside I ask? Surely the ampage is enough to thaw out such a small surface area of metal?
Anyway, questions I have would obviously be:
a/ Is it permanently on or does it require the switching on of rear/front heated windscreen?
b/ Does it sound like the fuse has gone if it's not thawing out and if so, is this relatively easy to find on the fuse box from hell?
Cheers.
LL If in doot, flat oot!!

They're switched by the ATCU based upon external temperature, uses the same relay as the heated mirrors, if they feel warm then the heated washer jets should be warm too, the relay is pulsed to prevent overheating of the mirrors & jets. Both fuses and the relay are in the BJB so easy to get to

Ah, another connundrum... how do I know if I have heated mirrors (other than if they thaw the frost that befalls them)?
TBH, I reckon my fuse has blown.
Oh yeah, BJB??????? If in doot, flat oot!!

I think I'm coming to the same conclusion and possibly find that I too might have heated jets at the same time

so in my pj's tomorrow I've got to:
a) mess about in the passenger footwell to find the fuse for the windscreen jets, possibly using one of our 2 dogs to hold the tourch
b) and now go hunting in the engine bay for the "dont pull the red one" wire to follow the BJB and locate said fuses
c) stick me hand up the n/s front wheel arch approx 1.5 inches from the end of the FBH to see if working, if not disconnect and re-connect as per previous post
all before I even had a piece of toast, cheers for that....... no I mean CHEERS FOR THAT

I know it sounded like a stupid question that deserved a stupid answer... but is it safe to assume that if I have heated jets I also have heated mirrors (ie it's a standard cold/winter pack that would include heated windscreen, jets, mirrors etc)? If in doot, flat oot!!

So fuses for both jets and mirrors can be found in the BJ box (sounds a bit rude!!)? If in doot, flat oot!!
