tarp (attaching it to roof rails)

Hi, for those sunny (or rainny) days next week in the UK, i would like to attach a tarp to the D3 as the beer tent is sometime too crowded Whistle

tarp has eylets so could be attache to D3, though, i would like to know if anyone has done himself a little kit to attache things to roof rails (sans roof rack or cross bars of course)

I am thinking about a "T" shapes (upside down) piece that would slide in the rail with an eyelt too or something to tie something to it

I use these



They fit in the roof rails ..not a very tight fit ..but once there , they wont pull out ..you have to put them in the enlarged holes in the rails ..then slide them down .

Got them from Billing a few years ago ...very handy to keep 4 in the car ...even used as an emergency roof rack once Thumbs Up

Im sure they were less than a pound each G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

I was looking for something exactly like those, but could not even dream they would fit !

do you reckon that a bit of modification with a smooth file would make them happier up there as far as sliding back and forth ?

No ..they slide perfectly ok ..what i ment was they feel a bit loose ..but they dont come out ...are you going Billing next week ..i could show you if your there Thumbs Up G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Are you in the farmers field ..seem to remember seeing your car last year ..

Another choice are these ...M8 ...they fit a bit tighter in the slots





same again at Billing ..very cheap G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

no, i am faithful to the good ol' aquadrome and last year i was at billing with thr Rangie Whistle, the year before with the White D3 Thumbs Up

I visited the farmer's field last year and the D3, but noone was there at that time, same thing the year before, though i got the chance to enjoy a beer with Chrystyler and a few others Thumbs Up

what about a D3 APERO at billing, on site though ? me bring the Sangria ! say saturday 7PM ? Veridis Quo

Not sure which part im camping in yet ..others from here are going to be on the alisport stand ..so idealy would like to all camp in the same area .

wiggs, do these have any manufacturers branding on them? i'm interested in some but won't be anywhere near any of the shows this year If in doubt............flat out.
