Following the recent issue I had with my D3 not going to sleep and running the battery flat. I had to get into the car by unlocking the passenger door. I found that the lock was very difficult to turn. I had to force the lock so much that I thought the key blade would break off the key fob. Luckily this never happened and the door did unlock.
I would suggest that you all try to get in to your D3’s using the key to make sure that your locks work. In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

I had more troubles putting the small plastic bit back in place than turning the key itself...
Opening the car was straightforward even though the battery was dead...

Ours works fine - it had to due to the alarm problem mentioned elsewhere (which seems to have cured itself now its warmer!)
I agree with Gurvan about the plastic cover though!

Bump
Have any of you tried to get into your cars manually lately In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

I just went and tried it. It worked but set the alarm off, is that normal? Then he honked at me once more as I went back in the house, think I p'd him off I'm not so good at giving advice...may I offer you a sarcastic comment instead?

Look for a little padlock symbol on the front passenger door handle... look for the hole underneath... insert key and flip off plastic over... use key hole
Or look in the manual Taz

Just gave it a go and it opened alright.......was careful removing and replacing plastic cover ...... don't
want to crack a lug ........ got a shock when the alarm went off ( forgot about that happening ).
Have seen a couple of D3's with covers missing.
