There is a small dome close to the windscreen on the D3 dashboard. It has wires connected underneath... any idea what this is for? And has anyone manged to route a GPS aerial cable underneath the speaker grill to the foot well?

Sunlight sensor - solar load information feeds into the HVAC to direct more cold air to counteract the effects of the sun.

I stuck a small gps antenna to the dash using a velcro pad next to the daylight sensor. I simply routed the very small diameter coax cable to the right following the bottom of the screen where it cannot be seen. Then down the side of the dash by pushing it behind the trim, through the back of the knee panel and towards the center console where my removable camera detector lives. Took about 20 minutes, no wires can be seen and it works through the heated screen just fine.
