What are the best wiper blades ?
My wiperblades are needing renewed urgently.
The screen contact rubber is ripped.
What is the best replacement?
Should I stick with blades from my LR dealer or are Halford/Motor Factor blades good enough.
I also remember a topic on a superior aftermarket blade.
Would be keen to hear more [if one exists]
Anyone any thoughts/experience/links ?
Much appreciated.

I've always stuck to Valeo on all cars I've owned. They just seem so good and long lived as well. Not exactly cheap but then quality rarely is.

Mine were falling apart so went for Halfords. Seem ok so far, they get plenty of use up here. Depends really on whether you can afford to wait or not i suppose

Always used the LR ones with no issues - last 5 years never had need to swap makes.

Would have been interseted Nick, but have to go to Scotland over the weekend, then from Mon travelling down South!
So with this crappy wet weather I think I need them ASAP.
Might just have to get a set through my local garage tomorrow !!

I bought a pair from halfords last week, one in a Valeo box, one in a Halfords. the guy told me they were the same product, both with a Halfords part number. Today they were giving a rumble and a 'clonk'. Maybe they have contamination ? Should I take them back?I have experienced LR blades on other D3's which work perfectly. Maybe one should be looking past makes, and looking at quality. I.E. Bosch seemingly stand out as a high-end type of brand leader. Should one throw the towel in with them ? I'm not looking for anything else but a way of noiseless sweeping away of rainwater off glass.....

sounds like contamination to me. If you can lay your hands on some detailing clay this is great for removing it. Wipers pass much more smoothly afterwards.
Not sure about valeo and halfords being the same. Valeo have more than one range though.
BTW, I meant clay the glass, not the wipers

I tried the Halford wipers and they were pap. I then got the valeo ones as people on here said they were good uns. I agree they are good, quiet, smooth and a good WIPE! I bought two sets at the same time!

Thanks. Does £24 sound right for the pair? The guy scanned both and said they were the same on the screen. The school run (three drop-offs) proved D3's worthiness tonight, all calm and peace inside, crosswinds, spray and deep puddles on the outside, although the new Pirelli AT/R's seem to 'skip' the puddles all too readily. Other reports of them aquaplaning in wheels & tyres section.
