Coming into winter - timer heating....
Guys,
For those who have the fbh timer fitted, does this just make the car warmer quicker when it staters or does it make the car warm before you open the door. Does it defrost the windows too?.
Also if you fitted a second battery would/could this turn on and run the heated seats at the same time?

It warms up the coolant system. About 30 mins beforehand i find ideal.. Therefore when you start the car the blowers are warm and the car is at or near operating temperature. Although the timer only works whilst the system is asleep. Once the can-bus wakes up it overrides it.
At present i dont think its possible to mess with the can-bus otherwise you could program the car to do almost anything.

The FBH is there to get the very efficient diesel engine up to optimum engine temp and to maintain it.In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

I have one, if you look in my gallery you'll find the instructions there on how to fit.
I can put it in for you if you need a hand.

To be honest I'd want the seats to come on and the blowers working inside when I got in.
