I did tell you!
I did the same priming mine before I found out it was only for after the fuel lines have been disconnected
I used squirt of brake cleaner to help burn it off glow plug but it will pop and spit doing that and smoke like a paddle steamer
Intend to do the same. Squirt is like a little or a good squize. Nothing will blow up right? RLD Sump Guard

2-3 second burst, start small and build up. Not too much or you put the flame out!
I removed the black plastic filter first so it gets a more direct path to the burner
Mines running now, started first time from the software, let it run for a while but before the water temp hit 55 degrees I switched off and connected back up to the car, all conditions correct for a start but it tried and failed!
Tried again from the software and it failed, so component test on the glow plug for 30seconds at 100% and fired up again no problem.........going to let it run a full cycle this time, otherwise need to look at the price of some service parts, has anyone done that?

Mine was a bit like that, ran then wouldn't run. After much perseverance and brake cleaner it would run nearly everytime. And since I've been using the remote timer its now up to 99%
I was going to say 100% as I think it's worked everytime for 2 months but still never quite sure it will work
Currently letting it run to the full temp range, it's at 81 degrees at present, that should have given it a clear out! I'm starting to get the felling its luck of the draw if it goes or not when controlled by the car

Mine was temperamental when car ECU fired it up. But Nanocom would always get it going. Now given it three tests and used brake cleaner. Time and cold will tell.2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.

I've downloaded the Webasto software, bought a '409.1' lead, made up the simple loom (as per IanNPs post) I already had the 'red wire' connected as I previously installed a 1533 timer, so I spliced in to the wire.
Everything worked as explained; set up comms port etc, but when connected to the car it would never get past 'WTT Initialisation.
Any ideas anyone?
Thanks

Try swapping the ground between pin 4 & 5 on the connector.De-Tango
V8 Brakes
EGRs blanked
Running boards
3 flash indicators and clock on dash
Blingy grille...
I was changing the battery yesterday when I came across this in the other battery compartment. Given the webasto timer and ariel I'm assuming it's a remote FBH controller. Did anyone on here make this?
It wasn't mentioned to me when I bought the car and no extra remotes or fobs were given. Any idea how I get it working? Do I need just a new fob or do I have to take it all apart and start again with a new receiver?
thanks for your help,
W

It's unclear what the antenna is connected to. It does appear to be an RF plip but there is a chance that it is a GSM unit. If so, once you have a SIM you would be good to go.

Mine is on a USB, but the port seems to be mapped OK and the 'test' from the VAG software comes back OK. But when I open up the WTT software and hit 'Start Diagnostics' it just hangs.
I've tried it with Pin 4 or Pin 5 grounded (I'll try with them both grounded when I get a chance)
