Had both the gearbox error and reduce performance warning (not that it was, that I noticed) before the assurance program was done. No issues since (only a week). Trip mpg is showing 30mpg, slow (30 & 40)commute to work, 32mpg on motorway, both same as before.

Does anybody know if there is another assurance Programme going on right now? I've had a call from my dealer saying there are some software updates for my Disco. I'm surprised because it wasn't delivered until the end of March and at the time they said it was fully up to date.
They mentioned a proximity key upgrade (I don't have a proximity key), a Blue tooth upgrade and an upgrade the the management that reduced the shutdown time after you have locked the car.
Any thoughts? Or did they just not upgrade it before I took delivery? Discovery 4 XS

Are they still giving the wine and cakes after you have the asurance program done ???? The Paranoia Society's annual pantomime outing was going really well until someone shouted "He's behind you". Then all hell broke loose

Unfortunately, no goodies, no wine.
Just for information the only thing that was upgraded was the proximity key software. This applies even if you don't have a proximity keyless entry. It's still required for those times when the key doesn't work and you place it under the steering column. Discovery 4 XS

I'd like an upgrade to the rear parking sensors to get them working again as soon as the trailer is removed rather than waiting for the next ignition cycle. I keep forgetting that they don't work and getting caught, fortunately with no damage so far but maybe not one day.

Had assurnace prog done last week. Seem to be using less fuel on cold start, and have seem about 2mpg improvement overall.
Drivers seat no longer move back on switching off ignition/opening drivers door. Has anyone else noticed this ??
Also, it maybe me, but there seems to be a bit more body roll noticeably on roundabouts.
Other than that, all seems to be the same or un-noticeable.
Not even an offer of wine or chocolates Boo HOO! The Paranoia Society's annual pantomime outing was going really well until someone shouted "He's behind you". Then all hell broke loose

Hi boatienz,
They probably realised that, as a Kiwi, you wouldn't appreciate good wine.
Best Wishes,

Just had the 1st year service on mine, they mentioned a software upgrade, apparently this improves the mpg.
I havent had a single problem, hopefully they wont start now!
Only issue is the dealer gave me a Defender SWB truck-cab pickup as a courtesy car. I am surprised that there are enough one-armed hunchbacked dwarfs around to warrant Land Rover specially designing a car that fits only them......still, got a couple of bottles of wine to ease my aching back and knees.
Pete May the road rise with you.
May the wind always blow at your back.
And the sun always shine on your face.
May God always hold you in the palm of his hand.
