Hello...
Hi,
Picked up a 2012 Disco 4 XE yesterday!
Bit of a sad story, my beloved Nissan Navara failed (miserably!!) on the chassis inspection, so Nissan kindly offered to buy it back for a mere pittance. There was no way on this earth I was buying another to have the same thing happen and although I liked the Hilux, they are bland for the money. My father in law suggested an Disco 4, so here I am!
I'll miss the navara forum as they are a good bunch, but hopefully you'll be even better!

I'm happy to have discovered the various merits of the Disco 3 rather late in life. I've recently acquired a 14 year old HSE with 'scope for improvement'. I've invested in Lynx Evo and have set about addressing the various error codes. The process was interrupted by a mechanical failure of one of the Parking Brake Shoe retaining spring clips - evidently not replaced during an earlier Shoe replacement. To cut a long story short I have rebuilt the rear brakes, including the EPB. I am happy all is now mechanically sound but the dash is showing 'Parking Brake Fault' with amber warning lamp, and the Lynx will not talk to the new EPB module. I will enjoy wading through the forum and am sure this will not be the only issue I need help with. Regards ~ Steve E

Hello
Hello all! I'm a new D3 owner. "Winston" has 150k and will be doing a lot of off roading. I'll slowly be outfitting him over the years as I plan to have him a long time. I live state side in Colorado.
I do have one question... There is an audible whirling sound coming from around the transfer case that gradually gets louder till about 30mph and then tappers off. I know the drive shaft bearing rubber thing has a tear. Could that be making the noise or is it the transfer case? If it is the transfer case, is that normal? Never had a clutch low gear 4x4. No codes on the iiDTool. Let me know if I should make a new thread for this...
Thanks all! Excited to be a part of the community.

Hi all.
Been a member for a while after moving from the D2 forum.
Thankfully not needed much tech help up to now, but enjoy browsing the forums.
Was wondering if there a section showing members with code readers on here that I could look at as I now have a suspension fault that Id like to try and diagnose.
Cheers all,
Jim in Kent

Hi, I'm currently looking for a D3, like others I've had BMW's and now I'm looking to get something 'proper' with a good towing capacity.
I'm off for a look around the for sale section...

Newbie!
Hey - sadly it's time to part company with my D3 HSE after 4 years of ownership, and wanted to find it a new and happy home by posting it on Disco3!

Hi All,
Just saying hello.
After running Land Rover defenders for years I opted for a change and bought a disco 4 this year and love it. Took it on Holliday to Denmark this summer fully loaded and it was a dream to drive so comfy.. It also has to pay its way and pulls my digger and trailers with ease.
