I have recently purchased a new D4 GS and whist extremely happy with it, I'm just trying to work out which noises are 'features' as opposed to problems. I was hoping that someone could confirm whether they have the same noise that I do.......
With the windows down (I sometimes find the aircon a bit blowy on AUTO - is that another issue?) on recent warm days, I have noticed that when pulling away with a reasonable amount of throttle, you can hear a fairly low pitched whine, almost like a supercharger type of noise. You have to listen for it over the typical diesel clatter, but it's definitely there. Does everyone else have this noise?

I only get a low pitched whine with the windows closed as the wife is an alto !!! The Paranoia Society's annual pantomime outing was going really well until someone shouted "He's behind you". Then all hell broke loose
