stupid comments comparing 4x4s to smaller cars, planes and trains, concluding that a 4x4 was the worst for emmisions.... even though the emissions stated for a train or plane were PER PASSENGER,
(so a 4x4 carrying seven people worked out as the cleanest)

Yes! 135kg London to Edinburgh but I presume that is with a single passenger. So a flight per person is 75kg co2 so 5 people in a LR = 135kg CO2 5 people by plane 375kg co2 Train = 25kg per person assuming the train is full no doubt. Trains tend to be full only for part of the day - rush hour and the rest of the day they are worse poluters than us evil LR owners. Figures can always be manipulated to suit a story.

i dont think they even metioned the phrase "gas guzzelers" - instead they spoke only about 4x4s... no doubts as to which side of the 4x4 fence the bbc are now

United Kingdom 2008 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Manual Stornoway GreyDiscovery 3

I'm confused, or just stupid, but London to Edinburgh is about 450miles, at 30mpg = 15 gal x 4.55 = 68 ltr x .85kl/ltr (correct me if i'm wrong) = 58kg of fuel.

So how does it emit 135kg of CO2 Confused

And:

135kg / 7 people = 19kg per passenger
95kg per ordinary car / 5 people = 19kg per passenger.

Question
 D3 number 3: 08 TDV6 SE Stormygrey /owlpacker

OK, I've gone away and educated myself.
The Disco emits 265g/km

Thus 191kg from London to Edinburgh.

I'm still Confused
