Just order some keys to the vin number and have the dealer code them in.

Check they're available first. Not sure what the setup is with Land Rover but a few other car companies will only issue a finite number of keys

Not that I am being cynical or anything.... but if it is a finance snatchback presumably the original owner still has their keys. I would want the locks changed rather than new keys for the same locks. It probably is very unlikely that they would happen to see it around and 'make off with it' but stranger things have happened.

When they new keys are re-coded, it will un-pair the old keys, so no problems Bodsys Brake Bible

Press the red triangle in the corner of your post
Yes, it would open the car door, but not start the car as it won't be authorised anymore. Bodsys Brake Bible
