I have reading about blanking off the dreaded EGR valves my pride and joy is a 57 2008 spec D3 I have been told that if I blank these off the engine management light will stay on if this is to be true then they will stay and be replaced when required any info on this will be apreciated

That's exactly right. EuIV cannot be blanked as you get the EML on.

I can update - Clock on Dash/4x4 Screen/3Flash Indicators/SatNav On The Move and other Software updates. Gearbox re-flash/reset etc.
