Hi am going to Lake Zurich in August to help support a mate doing a long distance swim there (mad geezer). Thought I might try and get the D3 offroad there. Any guidance on possible routes (not ones likely to damage car) and best campsites near the lake. Cheers

Hi there,
I would ask the Zurich expats in EnglishForum, it's beautiful up there but the locals can be slightly uptight. 
You could also check out the city's site.
Speed cameras everywhere, and detectors (even passive GPS ones) are not legal here, they'll confiscate it and fine you.
You'll need a tax sticker (vignette in French) for the autoroutes (costs CHF40).
