F Censored it!

Been trying for the past few days and I am now giving up! I know i'm s Censored t at crimping but those connectors are nuts! No matter how I crimped them I couldn't get any picture on the sat nav. The only way I got a picture was by putting the core wire into one of the SMB connectors' female centre pin then putting that straight onto the Navs male connector pin. Then I got a ropey picture, but at least a picture!

Been trying and re trying and now I just got three bust SMB connector pins Big Cry Big Cry Censored

a way around it is to use a reasonably fine point soldering iron to solder the core to the pin, then strip back the outer shielding far enough to reach to one of the other inputs, crimp this bit to the other part of the connector and then just connect to adjacent inputs...
 and theeeeennn......???

Why dont you get some of the clamp type (second from left at the top) ..you dont need any soldering or crimping skills then .

number: CN10788

Is this the right one?

Yep ..correct one ..or you could use the straight clamp one if you dont have the a crimper tool.

In fact you could use any of the top 3 ..but theres plenty of room so you dont realy need the angled one .

RG174 is the correct cable aswell Thumbs Up

might give them a try wiggs Thumbs Up

Think I looked for them when I bought the crimp connectors but all the clamp type were either out of stock or discontinued.

Is the centre core clamped too? I hate those Censored pins!

On my clamp version the centre pin was soldered; but not sure if that was entirely necessary or not.
