Upper Tailgate guides: can '08/'09 parts be put on '05 D3?

Pics below taken from an older Wiggs post (thanks). Anyone know if you can simply replace the old design (below) with the new style plastic guide and rubber pad pieces on the upper tailgate and body? I believe LR changed the design for model year 2008 going forward.

@TLO thank you!

@tanters - when the old design plastic pieces get slightly worn they start to chafe against each other creating a low knocking sound. Dealer has greased mine up at each service but it always comes back. Figured I would ask to see if its a cheap and simple retrofit of the newer rubber and plastic tab design.

Interested in that as well.

My solution was to remove the ugly pink grease that dealer put there (it stuck to my cloth much better than it did to the car) and put gaffer's tape on both parts - no more rattle.

Still, would be interested to see if the part from the newer cars will work - noticed them in the showroom when waiting for the car to come out of service - appears to be a simpler and better design

Kontos, do you happen to know the part numbers? Also, were they expensive/cheap/reasonable?

Me neither, but i have started to notice a low knocking sound that really does sound like this could well be the reason, plus i have noticed my latches being a bit chafed.
A couple of squares of gaffer tape will easily prove it out i guess.

Cheers JJ

Tail gate side is CKT500080 approx GBP 6.00 each and Body side is CKT500090 @ about GBP 2.40

Knocking from Rear

I was getting a peculiar knocking noise from the rear which sounded like a loose suspension bush but not quite harsh enough. Jacked up car inspected bushes etc and no luck with the problem. Anyway finaly narrowed it down to the rear upper door wedges shown in the lead in photo. Mine has done about 44,000K's. Greased the wedges and the noise has stopped for the moment. Thanks for the info on the new 2008 parts as it sounds like they will fit my 2006. My car is normally so quiet that the knocking noise was quite disconcerting as it occured on quite minor road undulations and bumps.
Regards

Fitted the updated parts this weekend, the noise reduction is significant.
