As title really, what year did the Disco 4 start using the dial instead of stick for automatic transmission selection thanks?

MY2012, yes. It got the 8 speed gearbox at the same time.

indeed it did. Updated response unit too with the buttons rather than the dial 2013 Discovery 4 HSE Lux | 2001 Defender 90 TD5 | 2007 Prodrive RB320
