Thanks everyone for their advice and for that link LT.
There's a lot of BS on social media about what you can and can't do and what is essential etc and this pandemic appears to have been a gift for the countries Jobsworths.
Whilst we all should keep to the "spirit of the law", if you have a reasonable excuse to do something you can. Just apply common sense and stick to the guidelines on social distancing and frequent hand washing etc etc.
Chambers (5 Essex Court) have produced a guide for Police forces in England. So it may be slightly different for you in Scotland.
For your situation, start reading at the bottom of page 19.
"We note that some public statements made soon after the adoption of the Regulations suggested that members of the public could only leave their homes if it is “essential” to do so. However, this is not the test set out in the Regulations and there is no legal basis for a requirement in those terms to be imposed. The applicable threshold is that of “reasonable excuse”. Provided a member of the public has a reasonable excuse to leave their home, there is no violation of regulation 6."
Ironically, if you're sensible, the biggest risk is a likely to be a Police Officer stopping you and getting far too close to your face.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

The Coronvirus Quislings. All the "local" facebook groups are full of them. Thin-lipped, curtain-twitching teeth suckers, they'll be the first against the wall come the revolution.I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Well it was a successful trip and no fines or police checkpoints
Worst part was getting to the flat too find her two flat mates had done fek all cleaning so after packing and loading up the car. We spent several hours scrubbing cleaning and hoovering
All her stuff is in the garage and will stay there for four days till she can sort it and move what she needs into the house.
We are both showered and sanitised and our clothes are in the wash.
Once again thanks for the help and links
Early night to bed as it’s a 5am start tomorrow for work Its not the height of the fall but the sudden stop at the bottom that hurts!!
