Finally identified one worth looking at..............
66 plate, Coris, Almond Interior (not sure about that!!) 19k - £42250 (main dealer)
There was a similar one (16plate, 25k for £39450) but this has gone this week
So the questions now are........
Can I live with the almond interior and therefore random 'woody' bits
Hunters Landrover (chester)......any good??????
Cheers2000 D2 TD5 - big red tractor no longer with us
2006 D3 - no longer with us and sadly missed
2010 D4 alas no more, but a lovely colour (Nara)
2016 D4 about to depart
2022 DS nearly...........

Those are the sale price, don't forget to knock off the mahoooooosive margin a main dealer adds onto the price they pay. At 8k that would be a bought in of £34,275 and £31,450. Ouch.

I love it when peeps see sticker prices on cars on forecourts and think that's what theirs is worth. Someone's got to pay for those posh coffees and bickies.
PS what were these cars new? Just so I can tappy-tap into the calculator and figure out how much per month/week/day/hour etc.

The Landmark was significantly cheaper than the "standard" spec. HSE Luxury, that they effectively replaced..£52k or £54k perhaps? Can't remember now. By then it was too late to add "extras", they were what they were, Landmark or Graphite, limited colour choice, take it or leave it!2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

Landmark has everything you want but colour choice was a bit limited.

Assuming the £8k margin is correct! Depreciation curve is always steepest in the years 1-2.
Those "forecourt" prices are close to what they were back in March 2017 (for similar mileage) when I bought my current D4. I think I paid £42k for 16 plate with 11k miles, from non franchised dealer, which was about £3-4k cheaper than LR dealer.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

Landmarks were £56k list but not many came out without some options.
Mine had privacy glass and premium paint making it £58k.
Paid £51k new in August 16, for some reason they could offer me a better deal on a new car rather than a pre-reg.
Have now done 32k and still happy I bought it.
I know the depreciation is painful but I’m intending to keep it long term.D4 2016 Landmark, Waitomo Grey.
D3 2005 HSE, Bonatti Grey, now sold but still comes back for servicing.
Defender 2002 Td5 Commercial, had a hard life but slowly being restored.
I only work so I can afford to repair my Land Rovers!

Basically the same vehicle. Landmark had a more restricted range of colours to choose from and was slightly a slightly better spec but it did depend a bit on what was left in the bin when it was built.
You mean more restricted than the shades of black and gray they are offered in?

It seems the colour choice in the brochure was misleading, Loire Blue was never a choice on the Landmark but I've since seen 4 For Sale on the LR Website, so possibly not as limited as the brochure makes out.1970 RRC
