FWIW, I think you are 'spot on' with your approach to the site. It is not blatantly obvious who/what you are and you definitely seem to have a sense of humour about it all.

How we all should be really...
Dealers or anyone being too commercial will soon be shown the door by the mods and other members so I can't see where the issue is
Post away and enjoy the forum !

simon I agree too. I think we should be able to post as long as no one says anything to bother anyone else.
i notice that some members are here ready to criticise their dealer (or stealer I think is the cool name here) but in reality have no sympathy with them and their having to deal with difficult customers sometimes.
sorry but i had to say it. will get my coat as you say on here and continue to be 'read only' well unitl anyone annoyes me again that is.

We all want to get along with our dealers, but it is hard sometimes when you know for certain that you are being fobbed off, ignored or even lied to.
I am sure that there are quite a few of us who have had instances of the above, I have for certain. To be told they could not do a run of the mill software update because it would basicly tie up 2 members of staff for over 12 hours really grates, or to sit in reception for 2 hours while they 'change' a seatbelt and then to be told I will have to come back as they did not order one after my conversation with the service manager 10 days before.
Needless to say that this was a large 'chain' dealer who I do not use any more and as far as I can see none of this type of dealer has shown their faces on here.
We are all envious of the members who have great dealerships.
I applaud those dealerships that are coming out of the woodwork, I don't think that they are doing it for commercial purposes but hopefully to build a better relationship.
Surely a good customer / dealer relationship is good for everyone, as most of us on this site are repeat LR customers.
One final point, in the post above Trinity says that we should have sympathy with dealers who have difficult customers. Well it seams to me that 'difficult' customers sometimes get treated the best, I have never raised my voice in a dealership, I was even totally calm after my last D3 came back with 10 bits of damage on it after a failed attempt to sort out a seat problem and still went back with my new one to have the above thrown at me.
I am not anti dealer by any means, I just want to get my car sorted and to be on my way with a smile.
Sorry rant over Zermatt silver 06 reg.
Gone but not forgotten !!!

Again, it's service related. Land Rover needs to be better.
