Well after a lot of deliberation, some thought and plenty of cups of tea I finally decided what to do...

I went for 4 Pirelli ATR's from Ken ordered and delivered within 2 days - will get them fitted some time soon.

Finally decided that MTR's were probably a little too extreme for my current requirements, (even though my heart still wants them) but will definately go for a set should I decide to buy a second set of alloys.

Thank you to everyone for your thoughts on the subject.

After a lot of reading on the subject of tyres and numerous phone calls to all of the "cheap tyre webites" I too have decided to go for the Pirelli ATRs and also from Ken. What a man Bow down Bow down Bow down , he must be the D3 equivalent of Superman, nobody else is even close with prices even allowing for postage and fitting.

Talking of an extra set of alloys - what is the best size to get for off road tyres??

A particular issue as not all tyres are made in all rim sizes??

Get yourself a set of 17" rims (cheap as chips) and then the world is your oyster with multiple tyre choices in all brands and with a lot more sidewall they are far less likely to damaged off road as they don't get pinched like 19's.
Must say I agree with NJF, after driving Bala on the KL71's they are the nuts in the sticky stuff.
Running two sets of wheels is the way to go, I'll put my 19's back on when I get round to it but then again if you turn up the stereo a bit more the KL's ain't that noisy and track well at slightly quick motorway speeds... Whistle

Sorry for being thick, but what are KL71's.

Also with a second set of alloys do people go for full off road tyres i.e Wrangler MTR's or a tough AT tyre such as Grabbler AT2's

Cheers
