As u r on line how would u rate the tyre for everyday local use with occassional long trip, plus off road.

I think I can answer this as I have driven over 170k on MTR's "they are the ducks nuts".

My D3 has a vibration/grinding noise up front so I have swapped over to the standard Scorpions that the car came with (so the dealer cant blame the tyres) I don't like the handling, its not much quieter and it just don't look right. When I drive it with the standard tyres on I get the urge to have my nails polished and have a strange urge to buy a had bag.

I will post a pic of the car later and you can decide.

Point 1. You can try mine out, not a problem

Point 2. Dont think I/WE are trying to brainwash you at all. IMHO, I asked the same questions as you are, and two options came up, but the MTR was the Long Lasting All Rounder that many already ran 24/7, that easily acheive 40k on them and are a million times better than Scorps.

Not many tyres give you the all round package on the D3. Long lasting, hard wearing, sure footed in all weather conditions for the one downside, a slight hum at speed that you will get used to or even get drowned out by a roof rack or RAI noise.

Its your D3, not ours. Make your choices by what suits your needs and pocket, and not by whats currently in stock and on the shelf Thumbs Up
