Thumbs Up

I agree that the noise can be a problem in the beginning but that soon becomes the norm and you don't even think about it after a while. Never found them a problem in the wet...I suppose it depends on how hard you want to push the motor in those conditions.

Have changed them over to my Scorpions today Shocked Big Cry ...trying to define the location of a slight whine Whistle

Use MTR's 24/7, on and off road. Faultless! And I have on occaision pushed it reasonably hard in the wet. If anything I find them better in the wet than a road tyre as they clear surface water very well.

I love the noise too Embarassed Laughing

What's their puncture resistance like?

They'll be fine. Only issue I had with mine was in mud. Couldn't climb out of ruts, and one time at Boughrood had a slow motion sideways slide which was a bit un-nerving. Other than that they performed suprisingly well.

I used Scorpions off-road over 9 months ...quite impressive overall for road tyres ...you have to accept that the side walls are not going to be as strong and I know they hate flint ...I blew two in 50 yards on a flinty lane Sad

Steve,

Srcop's have a softer sidewall compared to ATR and MTR.

I used Scorp's off road and got some muck/sand/grit in the beading after a 40 degree side hill - woke up in the am and two rights were flat due to leaks.

Scorp's will be fine for most green lanes but I would opt for the ATR as its the best of both worlds. Life about opinions and either the ATR or MTR will be fine.

Thanks DG,

I have lost 2 this year one to a nail and the other to clipping the edge of a low wall (the wife actually) tore a 2" hole in the side wall of the Scorpipn - garage wouldn't fix it!!

What's the story about MT/R production?

NeliD<

As much as I can manage time permitting. The issue is the wear rates on zeros is shocking and the only viable choices for 19" are the AT's or MT/R - I am just trying to guage opinions.

Thanks,

Steve

Zero's are Censored . Wouldnt touch them again if I were you!.

I do 95% On road and 5% Off road. ATR were best for me. Good wear (done 10k and they look new), tougher side walls and great in most off road conditions (sand @ Hogmoor, Dust of Green lanes and mud/grass/dust @ Abingdon today).

Go MTR for extreme conditions and lots of off road 50/50, if you do lots of town/motorway and play off road then go ATR on 19" Thumbs Up
