Just want to say, me and the boys had a blast !!!
Great weekend regardless of the rain - kind of made it more fun to be honest
Big thanks to Vince and his team for putting on the events and the band. The navtek challenge was a great day out around a beautiful region.
Huge thanks to The Searle Crew for all they provided. - including some bottle opening training for Joe and later for helping him to keep standing - yes we had fun with him at 3AM
Iain and family for providing some grub on Saturday night.
And as always, great to see the crew / meet some new faces and spend a day out and about the little villages and green lanes. Sorry for the wring turns Sofun.
Iconix, Top marks for remaining calm and letting us get on with getting you and your D3 out, I know of some that would have been in a serious 'flap' if it happened to them Mistakes get made and these things happen, highlights the importance of not off roading alone and making sure there's some in the group with the right recovery kit. You came back for more today so I presume that the damage was all 'cosmetic' The End

It really was a really good weekend (or day in my case) and I think it was enjoyed very much by everyone.
Like said before, a huge thank you has to go out to everyone who was in charge of the organisation and administration of the event. A lot of thought and effort was clearly put into it (especially the navigation maps!).
The camp site looked great, if the same sort of event is taking place again next year (I certainly hope so!) then I reckon I could venture down on my own (ooh) and try my hand at camping out for the full event, or would I have to be a full-on D3 owner to do that?
Looking forward to more Rockingham pictures to come 2007 Porsche Boxster (987) 2.7

If I'd known I was going to be so thirsty this morning I'd have drunk more beer last night.

I'm in agreement with VA. Can we lock this thread please? I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Made it back OK, although thanks to TFC & ChrisTyler for looking like they were doing something whilst waiting for us to (be the last...) to pack up our tent & clear on out. Personally, I like to think that they were waiting to rescue us in case I got stuck (they'd obviously seen my antics from saturday morning.... )
Great weekend, the kids had their 'moments' from time to time, but overall they were really patient with me and my fathers day (weekend) indulgence.
I reckon we spent over 14 hours in the car over the weekend including getting to Rockingham & back but well worth it.
Good to renew faces with names again and to get some new faces to names on the site.
SWMBO has even suggested doing it again (although can I order better weather next time..... )
