Hi mate
Glad the links helped , plus at least u know you’ve got a decent gearbox and TC lined up from a reputable place, taking a lot of that worry away

, hope the holiday is going well
Have been compiling a list of what I’ve got left to complete
Ac leak
Put trim panels back I’ve removed
Service diffs, transfer and autobox, then reset adaptions later with transfer software update
Fit passenger side rear upper wishbone, inc drop link and brake hoses
Replace front to back brake lines
Look for residual battery drain , think it’s the radio
So that should keep me busy for a while

Would it take u long to remove the body again and would it be a lot easier with the body off or can u easily get to all the bolts with it on
Suppose if u did take the body off again u could do the front wishbones

Hiya buddy.
I could probably do it in about 3 hours tops second time round and especially being so fresh in my mind.
I’ll get her up on the ramp when I get home and have a nose but my thinking is...
I have the time after hols.
With body off the gearbox can be lifted out safer with hydraulic engine hoist
It’s less hassle to move around.
It’s much easier to get at.
Would be great full for anyone’s thoughts on it?Jarrod

Hi mate
Indeed as u say have a look to see what kind of job it is with the body on
Are there any other jobs that need doing and would be easier with the body off
Suppose in another sense if u removed the body again u could recheck ur crossover pipe and associated parts as it’s had a good run

Hiya buddy.
Also my thought process.
We cut short the holiday. The weather is saying a storm is coming in tomorrow and the wind was really picking up today.
I took screen shot of the one gearbox fault code. I’ve also got some engine ones to investigate.
The joys of landy ownership.

Disco as above. I’m not driving it at the minute as I’m worried about the gearbox. Been back in work the last week. New site started. Pita. Lol.
How’s it going with you ?

Hi buddy
Ah i see, got yer, wasn’t sure if u may have done anything else since posting the error codes,
Will do some digging for u to see if anything comes up ref the other codes
Had a few rough weeks but slowly starting to come out the other side , can then get back onto my D3 , ref the parasitic drain, currently at 40 Mv DC after it’s gone into sleep mode, will remove all the plastic fuse covers and check them one by one
Oh joy , well that sounds a lot of fun with work
Will see what info I can find for u
Have a good one
PS, ref ur turbo , may i ask , did u tighten the intercooler hose clips next to the turbo and free off ur actuator arm when u had the body off plse , I had a broken jubilee clip on that hose which caused an error , put new clip on, so far so good, enclosed pic of the new clips location

Hi mate,
Ref the turbo, yes replaced the hoses for silicone and used the mikilor clamps I bought ages ago off your guide I also checked and lubricated the actuator arm, being a my07 mine does the actuator exercise procedure on shut down also. I’m debating yanking the turbo when I retake the body off... long story short brother in law has a new trafic van, turbo went, mate of his does turbo rebuilds so I may have it reconned anyway just to be sure.
Ref the battery drain... way out of my league that one. I’ll follow your thread with interest as mine does drain the battery over time also.
Gutted you’ve not been well. Have you replied to last email as I’ve not been on my emails for weeks ! I need to go through them.
Ref work: was taking to a friend who runs a gas training school. He thinks I should get into teaching and get off the tools. I’m very tempted. I’ve had enough of the building site bs. Wrong drawings, deliveries wrong, blah blah blah. LolJarrod

Hi buddy
Many thks and indeed replied to ur last email
Ref ur turbo know u can get the cartridges for them but if u know someone that is a specialist thats ideal know it’s a pain , it at least if u get it recon when the body off u won’t have to worry about it going into limp mode on the motorway or the most importunate time
I got to that stage ref being on the tools and was looking into teaching at the gas safe centres or university , but alas had my accident with my back so that out a finish to that , would have really liked to have done that , not dealing with stroppy customers or lugging an old Vulcan boiler when u think there stuck to the floor and end up putting bicycle clips on
Will indeed keep my battery drain thread updated, so at least then can help others
Ref ur fan fault code , plse don’t kick me, did u plug it back in after doing the condensor , u just fitted the fan blades as well didn’t u and not the complete fan
Ref the engine unbalance could it be because of the injector leak that’s causing the issue with the other one ???
