If it happened on you doorstep with little chance of the scroats being caught forget it, reporting it will only add to the crime figures for your post code, the insurance companies look at those figures, increase premiums.

I would have reported it if I knew where it happened.
It could of happened anytime in the last few months as you wouldn't notice the damage until you look underneath.
I did check the camera as I have a front and rear BlackVue but no luck.
I like the idea of a sticker D4 2016 Landmark, Waitomo Grey.
D3 2005 HSE, Bonatti Grey, now sold but still comes back for servicing.
Defender 2002 Td5 Commercial, had a hard life but slowly being restored.
I only work so I can afford to repair my Land Rovers!

It doesn't really matter you can't pin point the location the attempted theft and criminal damage took place - its still important to report it - despite a few pennies added to everyones insurance - also important for LR to get feedback on these type of crimes - via such reporting. Anyway enough said on that (by me) but its prompted me to order a protector from Uncle Ray
More importantly has anyone come up with a sticker design to attach the the rear wheel plastic cover for the 'scrotes' to 'read'. They can't of course so I was thinking maybe a picture of a wheel with a padlock interlinked somehow. Anyone help? - or has it been done already?2016MY Discovery HSE - Black

Is it necessary to refit the plastic cover and conceal Ray's handiwork? Wouldn't it be better to leave it exposed for the vermin to see?
Update: Oh, I see from the photo that it sits behind the wheel now That comes from looking at the photos on a mobile phone 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

The plastic bit is what is keeping the wheel on, with the help of a few bits of metal.

Fit the plastic bit as well, let them struggle in vain for a few minutes

I fitted one of Uncle Ray's new fangled plated to my parents' MY16 Landmark, most excellent bit of kit and a doddle to fit.

Thank you philm , fitting mine is on the To Do List and I really must do. DSL - thank you for the reassurance that it is relatively easy.
The SO and I managed to work out the instructions for releasing the Shogun spare and replacing, but the Land Rover manual just left me befuddled and worried that I'm going to muck something up.

The spare wheel protector is easy to fit, but remember to wind the wheel fully up and check it a few days later. I thought I'd wound mine all the way up and then found it was quite loose so wound it up a bit more, and then check again and it was loose again. A third winding up and it is now secure.MY16 D4 Graphite in Loire Blue

I had suggested before a "Protected by ScroteStop" sticker when I got one of Uncle Ray's metal plates.2014 - D4 2010 HSE Nara Bronze
